Christmas Eve Tractor Run – We’re rolling!
🎄 Christmas Eve Tractor Run – We’re rolling! 🚜✨
We’ve kicked things off with a £500 donation to support this year’s Christmas Eve Tractor Run. This event means a lot to our community and it brings some real magic to Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Eve the Upper Calder Valley will come alive with lights, horns and community spirit as the annual Christmas Eve Tractor Run makes its winding way through Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and surrounding villages in support of Candlelighters — the children’s cancer support charity.
What to Expect
- Dozens of tractors festooned with fairy lights, wreaths and festive decor will gather in the early afternoon and set off around 4pm.
- The route runs through Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, on to Mytholmroyd and back via Heptonstall — meaning there are plenty of vantage points for the public to watch and cheer.
- Food, drink and a festive atmosphere will be available at the startpoint so attendees can arrive early, look around the vehicles and soak in the build-up.
Why It’s Special
This isn’t just a parade of tractors; it’s a community tradition that brings together local farmers, families and visitors in a shared moment of joy. What started only a few years back has grown into a major festive highlight for the valley. This year the funds raised will go to Candlelighters — helping children with cancer and their families.
How You Can Get Involved
- If you own a tractor and meet the requirements you can sign up (advance purchase required).
- If you’re not a driver you can join as a passenger, or simply come along early, line the route and enjoy the spectacle.
- Bring a donation, wear something festive, and enjoy supporting a great cause.
A Festive Tradition That Means More
Tractor runs with lights and music are rare, especially ones that make a difference for charity. For families and machine-enthusiasts alike, this is a chance to mark Christmas Eve with something different, something joyful, and something that gives back to the community
Last year saw an incredible turnout and we want to help raise even more this time around.
